PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Recognize Ms. Davis as NM Charter Schools Principal of the Year
PRINCIPAL’S REPORT
School is having a great year. Thanks to PTC for being supportive.
TREASURER’S REPORT
- None (Michelle absent)
OLD BUSINESS
- Yearbook Club unknown if any action has been taken. February is deadline to Lifetouch
- Winter Concert February 9th at 6:00 pm. PTC will host refreshments and sell baked goods starting at 5:30pm. Volunteers needed.
- Safety Patrol leaders - again it is asked that PTC parents help Debbie Hart with this activity. Mollie Moreno has volunteered for Mondays & Tuesdays, Elaine Bradshaw has volunteered for Wednesdays. Christie will contact Debbie regarding the volunteers. Still needed is someone to coordinate a Flag folding class for the Safety Patrol.
- Family Fitness Program - Margery had wanted to set this up, but no interest was expressed at last meeting. Christy Martinez knows a person that could help with this. Need to contact Margery on this.
- Nutrition in Schools - Parents interested in knowing the outcome of this program. Ms. Davis will try to contact personnel hired and ask if they would present to PTC.
NEW BUSINESS
- Elaine asked if a wireless router could be installed for parents use. She presented specs and quotes. Mollie will find out if we can purchase now or have to hold a fund raiser. Those in attendance expressed a positive affirmation for acquiring this item.
- Ms. Berg is still very much interested in having a volunteer to write articles about school activities, projects, etc. (Maybe Mary’s niece).
- PopStars - concerns were expressed as to the fairness between the different wings. New parents and staff do not know about PopStars. Have volunteer sheets in each classroom, so that each teacher can make sure their parents sign in when they volunteer, we can pick those up at the same time we pick up the PopStar envelopes.
- PTC would like a school store day. Ms. Davis has given April 14th (Wednesday) to us. Money to be used for Teacher Appreciation Week.
