Linda S. Alvarez is a longtime advocate for individuals with disabilities. She grew up in Southern New Mexico on a chile farm; a successful family agribusiness which continues today. She began her career in the Baltimore-D.C. area working for the executive offices of the Social Security Administration and the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare adjudicating benefits in English and Spanish for the aged, blind and the disabled. She owned and operated a CARF Accredited case management agency working with families developing comprehensive long term plans for developmentally disabled individuals.
She received her Paralegal Certification from the University of Maryland School of Law; her B.A. in Public Administration and Psychology from the College of Santa Fe. In addition, some of the achievements Linda is most proud of are becoming a mom and managing a large family; and running the Penn Relays Marathon.
Three of Linda's children attend the TTCS. Linda is self-employed and lives with her family outside of Santa Fe.
