Grace Philips is a civil rights attorney with more than 19 years experience in employment litigation. She works for the New Mexico Association of Counties as an attorney and lobbyist where she provides legal counsel to counties regarding employment, law enforcement and detention issues. Grace received her bachelor's degree in fine arts from New York University and her law degree from the City University of New York Law School at Queens College. Grace has served on the Governor's Blue Ribbon Commission on the Status of Children of Incarcerated Parents, The Attorney General's Task Force Developing Best Practices for Enforcement of Domestic Orders of Protection, the New Mexico State University County College Core Curriculum Board, the NM Public Official Ethics Curriculum Committee, and the Juvenile Justice Training Institute Planning Committee, as well as numerous legislative task forces concerning law enforcement and detention issues. Grace has served on the Turquoise Trail Governance Council since 2004. She has 4 children.
